Appetizers & Snacks
1 Egg White
1 TBSP. Water
18 oz. Raw Cashews
1 TBSP. Chili Powder
2 tsp Ground Cumin
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
3.5 tsp. Kosher Salt
1/2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
Preheat your oven to 250° F.
Whisk together the egg white and water in a medium bowl until frothy.
Add the cashews and mix until completely coated.
Pour cashews into colander and let drain for 2-3 minutes.
Simply wipe out the access egg white mixture from your original medium bowl and then pour the cashews back in.
Add in sugar, salt, chili powder, cumin and cayenne, then stir to coat the cashews.
Line a baking sheet (at least 14.5" x 9.5") with parchment paper.
Pour the coated cashews out onto the lined pan and spread out evenly.
Bake for 45 minutes, then gently toss/stir the cashews and spread out evenly again, return them to the oven.
Bake cashews for another 30 minutes.
Allow to cool before eating or packaging, and ENJOY!
This recipe is not super spicy. Just enough heat to tingle your taste buds. You can always add less or more Cayenne to your personal preference.
